External Structure Of Hämorrhoiden
External hämorrhoiden is also called as prolapsed hemorrhoids and it is the condition where these tiny grape fruit like outgrowths that initially develop within the rectum fall out of the anus because they have become disconnected with the connecting tissue that holds them to the wall of the rectum near the anal fissure. This stage is characterized by the tiny protrusions at the opening of the anus and the discomfort faced by the patient each time he or she sits down.
Furthermore, the condition causes bleeding and can also lead to the strangulation of the hemorrhoids which causes blood clots and gangrene. These two side effects of leaving hemorrhoids untreated are the main reasons why doctors advise to go in for surgical removal of prolapsed hemorrhoids. However, it is to be noted here that this external structure of hemorrhoids is a recurring one and surgery does not prevent its return later on in life. Only a proper diet and plenty of water seems to prolong its return.
